Welcome to my site! I'm Heather and travel is my passion, whether it is wandering about in the United States or in countries abroad. While I call Massachusetts home, my mind is always wandering, dreaming of the next destination.

My journey with travel started at the age of six when my family moved to Saudi Arabia, where we lived for nearly six years. It was during this time that my love for travel took off. Immersed in diverse cultures and ways of life, I developed a curiosity for new foods, meeting people, and experiencing the world from a different perspective. After college and learning to "adult", I made it a point to travel several times a year and to always have a current passport.🛂

In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to join my friend Amelia as her travel companion through her job as a flight attendant. I flew stand-by with only a carry-on, which was a huge shift for someone who once chronically overpacked and was always prepared for every "what if." Navigating the airline's liquid regulations and the minimalist packing lifestyle was a challenge, but one I was determined to conquer.💪

After much research, trial, and error, I managed to downsize my typical 50-pound checked suitcase, 25-pound carry-on and a travel item to just a single 25-pound backpack and a personal item. Now, I can pack this way for all kinds of trips, from week-long getaways, or longer, to cruises.

In the summer of 2024, I took my love for adventure to the next level by purchasing a 13-foot travel trailer, enabling me to explore the United States with my fur-baby, Grundii. With a few custom modifications, I’ve transformed the trailer into a cozy, efficient “hotel on wheels” (or, as my dad calls it, my “tiny home”).

Throughout my travels, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting fellow wanderers curious about how I pack light and how I’ve made my travel trailer so functional. To make it easier for others to travel with less, I’ve compiled all my tips, tricks, and recommendations here in one place, complete with helpful links and blogs, both informative and humorous, to guide your journey.
